Fiscal Year-End Deadlines
Travel
Concur expense reports and Web Travel reimbursements are departmentally approved by Noon on May 22.
Requisitions (including Change Orders) and Vouchers
Requisitions and vouchers are departmentally approved by May 26.
Journals
Journals are departmentally approved by June 12.
Cash Advance Journals
All outstanding cash advances associated with projects ending in FY 2026 that are older than 60 days (domestic) or 90 days (foreign) must be departmentally approved by June 19. Refer to the OSP Payments to Study Subjects Guidance for reconciliation requirements and procedures.
Deposits
Deposit with OSP Deposit Memo are received by OSP by Noon on June 30.
Budget Override Requests
Budget overrides for journals, requisitions, and vouchers must be submitted before applicable transaction deadlines. Submit requests via help.unc.edu, route to OSP‑HELP, and include all relevant ConnectCarolina transaction IDs.
OSP Campus Journal Deadlines
Beginning in 2026, the OSP Pre-Audit team implemented ongoing early monthly deadlines for campus journals. The dates for the remainder of the 2026 calendar year are posted as event reminders on the OSP webpage.

UNC Clinical Research Partners Town Hall
The UNC Clinical Research Partners (CRP) Team will host a Town Hall on May 8 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. This session will provide a brief overview of CRP’s vision and framework, along with an update on progress since launch and key milestones. Registration is required.
IRB Analyst Office Hours
Have IRB questions or issues? OHRE hosts IRB Analyst Office Hours twice per month on Zoom. Sessions are 15 minutes, and registration is required.
Data Awareness Seminar
The University's data governance community is hosting a free Data Awareness Seminar on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The seminar will consist of nine 30-minute sessions, each featuring a different unit that plays a role in data governance, data security, or data management. Each session will include a presentation and time for a brief Q&A session. Registration is required.
